("the Company")
The Company shall require that its employees stick to the facts
when making public representations, never misleading, whether directly
or indirectly.
The Company will make all necessary efforts to acquire and maintain
a good reputation and will invite its employees and associates to
play an active role in the local business community.
Employees of the Company will not accept any valuable gifts or
other excessive benefits from suppliers or contractors linked to
the property without informing the client.
The Company and its employees will fully abide by the letter and
the spirit of all municipal, provincial or federal legislation applicable
to the operations of the Company.
Employees of the Company will not, on behalf of the Company, offer
to other people, directly or indirectly, any valuable gifts or other
excessive benefits, nor will they incur excessive representation
expenses in that regard.
All operations conducted between the Company and its employees
and public servants shall be conducted in such a manner as to not
impact the integrity or reputation of either party.
The Company has but one word. In all its communications, including
marketing communications and advertising, the Company will stick
to the facts, never misleading, whether directly or indirectly.
The use of Company funds to make contributions to a political party,
its candidates or campaign is strictly forbidden, unless approved
in advance by the Board of Directors.
Employees of the Company will not use their position with the Company
to benefit personally from those doing or wishing to do business
with the Company.
Employees of the Company shall not derive a personal financial
benefit from information they acquire in the course of their work
with the Company, nor shall they convey such information to a third
party.
As the Company considers a number of its records, reports, documents,
set-ups, processes, plans, methods and equipment to be proprietary
and confidential, employees are forbidden to provide information
on such without prior written consent.
In its dealings with employees, tenants, suppliers and others,
the Company shall refrain from any discrimination based on race,
country of origin, ethnic origin, color, religion, age, gender,
marital status or physical handicaps.
The Company's basic purpose is to serve the community by discharging
its responsibilities to its stakeholders, who are its shareholders,
the tenants, its employees, the general public and the lenders.
In order to achieve this objective with due consideration, the management
of the Company takes business decisions based not only on the usual
financial factors, but also on the social and economical impacts
of the Company's actions.
Although this code does not cover the whole range of activities
conducted by the Company's employees, it is indicative of the importance
to the Company of abiding by high standards of conduct and illustrates
the attitude the Company expects of all of its employees, regardless
of the circumstances.
The Company will do all within its power to protect the environment
and preserve natural resources.
The Company will strive to prepare and apply regulations only for
the purpose of improving its relationships with its customers. |
